Alps and Provence Trip
We just drove across the country for a tech conference in Grenoble. I mostly played hooky from it and enjoyed the unusually warm weather and beautiful alpine city with Laura and Athena. It's the second best place we have been to in France with great bars, lots of Italian food, and bubble cars! If it wasn't snowbound for months at a time we would live there.
We stopped off in an attractive Valence for lunch and a walk on the way to Provence's Orange.
Afterwards we spent three nights in an unusually gloomy and cold Orange. A decent Provencal town with some very unique Roman ruins and an old-school hotel experience. Reuben's birthday was celebrated as he turned 62 and started drawing social security!
