Our new medium-term rental home

Exterior of home

We have secured our official address and long-term rental which will be a medium-term one for us until we purchase a property (Bordeaux is at the top of the list).

The location will allow us to be car-free. Yes. Plus it doesn't have a parking spot.

After having limited success with furnished options we also looked at unfurnished homes. We now officially have one and will begin moving in the middle of next month.

It's in the center of Toulouse (France's fourth largest metro) on the Garonne river right across from the soccer stadium and a very large park. 😉 This is about 40 kilometers west of our AirBnB in Lavaur. It's just around the corner from a large tram stop as well. And it's also near a public bike rental location. Grocery stores, cafes, bars, and specialty stores are within walking distance.

You enter our house through the ground floor of a commercial building so it's very private. We share a courtyard with another residence behind the commercial building and have our own deck, garden, and house that is walled in.

The house is newly renovated, has new appliances, and concrete floors (except the bedrooms which have wood). It has three bedrooms/offices, one bath, two living areas, a dining room, hall, and foyer. It's all ground floor except for one upstairs bedroom/office.

So, here are the photos. And we have lots of furniture shopping on the horizon. And linens. And electronics. And kitchen plus cleaning accessories. And rugs. And trash cans. And gardening tools. And plants. Etc. Etc.
